Professional Summary

Presently working as Professor & Head in the Department of Biochemistry and Biochemical Engineering, Associate Dean (Administration), Jacob School of Biotechnology & Bioengineering and Nodal Officer, Entrepreneurship Development Cell, SHUATS. Completed Master of Science in Agricultural Biochemistry from Allahabad University in 1994 and did second Master’s in Technology in Biotechnology in the year 2009. Doctor of Philosophy in Science (Biochemistry) was awarded from Allahabad University, Allahabad in 1999. I have been teaching and guiding under-graduate, post-graduate and doctoral courses and project work/dissertation. My field of specialization is plant biochemistry and bio-process engineering. The research area is mechanisms of anti-oxidation in plants under abiotic stress. 12 doctoral students have been awarded under my supervision and have guided 50 Postgraduates and 40 Undergraduate students for their Dissertation. I have published 75+ peer review research publications in reputed International and National Journals. I have authored two chapters in  books and served as reviewer books & research papers and also an editor of a Journal. I was awarded as Young Scientist Award in 2010 for the contribution in the field of plant biochemistry by Bioved Reasearch Society and Fellow Award of the Indian Society of Agricultural Biochemists in the year 2013.
