Professional Summary

I am a passionate and dedicated Laboratory Technician in the Department of Processing and Food Engineering at VIAET, SHUATS, with a strong academic background in Food Technology and hands-on experience in managing lab operations, chemical inventory, and student assistance. I take pride in maintaining a safe and efficient learning environment that supports both practical education and research.

 

In addition to my core responsibilities, I am deeply enthusiastic about emerging technologies. I am actively upskilling in cybersecurity, ethical hacking, and Python programming, and I have a growing interest in Artificial Intelligence, particularly in understanding and experimenting with Large Language Models (LLMs). My goal is to explore how AI can be integrated into scientific workflows and problem-solving across domains.

 

I believe in lifelong learning and aim to blend traditional food engineering knowledge with modern digital tools to contribute meaningfully to academic and technological advancement.

- Research on Capsaicinoids in Red Chilli:

Involved in a research study focused on the extraction, quantification, and characterization of capsaicinoids (the active pungent compounds) in red chilli using standardized analytical methods. The study aimed to understand the variation in pungency levels across different varieties and processing methods.

 

- Detection of Adulteration in Red Chilli:

Worked on identifying common adulterants in red chilli powder, such as brick powder, salt powder, and artificial colorants, using both physical and chemical testing methods. The project emphasized ensuring food safety and consumer awareness through practical laboratory techniques.

- Assisted in departmental project setups related to food processing experiments

- Developed and maintained student lab issuance and breakage tracking system

- Currently working on integrating basic AI tools and Python automation for lab management tasks

Teaching Experience

- Support in practical lab classes for B.Tech Food Technology students

- Guidance and demonstration of lab safety protocols and equipment handling
