Professional Summary

Dr. (Mrs.) Ann Maxton joined the University in 2012 and is presently working as Assistant Professor (Senior Scale) in the Department of Genetics and Plant Breeding as an Molecular Biology expert. She has completed her Master of Science in Microbiology in 2011, Master of Technology in Biotechnology (Genomics and Proteomics Technology) in 2013. She has completed her Doctoral degree in Biotechnology in 2018 on Plant Microbe Interaction. She is currently teaching under-graduate, postgraduate and doctoral students. Currently, she has Forty publications including 01 Certificate of Registration of Design granted by The Office of the Patent, GoI and she has submitted and received accession number for 16s rRNA sequences of Fourteen bacterial isolates from NCBI, USA. She has also participated in various national and international conferences. She has a published Two Books in reputed publication houses. She has also received Young Scientist Award in an Intenational Conference at University of Allahabad. Dr. Maxton had guided 16 Master students in their thesis reseach work and is currently guiding 02 Doctoral Students as well. She has a total of 13 years teaching and reseach experience at SHUATS including 7 years of teaching experience as Assistant Professor.

Teaching Experience

Dr. Maxton has teaching experience of 13 years while teaching different biotechnology releted courses like Introductory Biotechnology, Industrial Genomics, Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Bioinstrumentationt, Plant Biotechnology etc. to undergraduate and postgraduate students. Out of the Thirteen years teaching experience at SHUATS, She has 06 years of teaching experience at Assistant Professor where She has taught couses like Principles of Genetics, Genomics for Crop Improvments, Biotechnology for Crop Improvments, Molecular breeding and Bioinformatics, Principles of Cytogenetics to Masters and Doctoral Stuents. 

 

Other

Microbial Type Culture Collection (MTCC)- CSIR, Govenment of India recognised novelty and Industrial significance of 03 Bactrial Species isolated and Characterized by Dr. Maxton and approved the submission at their Culture Bank.
