Professional Summary
Dr. Vikas Kumar is currently working as an Associate Professor in the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, SIHAS, at Sam Higginbottom University of Agriculture, Technology & Sciences (SHUATS), India, and also serves as Adjuvant Faculty at the University Center for Research & Development (UCRD), Chandigarh University.
He is the Principal Investigator of the Natural Product Drug Discovery Laboratory at SIHAS, SHUATS. Dr. Kumar earned his Ph.D. from SHUATS. He has authored more than 135 scientific publications (including 94 research articles and 42 review papers), along with 24 book chapters and has edited 2 books.
Dr. Kumar serves as an Academic Editor for PLOS ONE and is a member of the Editorial Boards of Pharmacologia Journal, RAPHE, and Met Journal. He has been recognized in the Top 2% of Scientists Worldwide by Stanford University (from 2020 to present).

Dr. Vikas Kumar has extensive teaching experience in Pharmacognosy and various other subjects within the field of Pharmaceutical Sciences, including Pharmaceutical Analysis, Chemistry of Natural Products, Pharmaceutical Jurisprudence, and Hospital Pharmacy. He has taught these subjects at the undergraduate (UG), postgraduate (PG), and doctoral (Ph.D.) levels.
Dr. Kumar actively integrates technological advancements in his teaching methodology, utilizing tools such as PowerPoint presentations, animation techniques, and interactive multimedia content to enhance student engagement and improve conceptual understanding.
