Current work includes Studying the role of PKM2 in cancer cell mitochondrial fission and fusion and other mitochondrial function in cancer cells. Then, Clarifying the molecule mechanism that PKM2 regulates the drug resistance in cancer cells through affecting the mitochondrial fission and fusion. After studying the role of PKM2 in autophagy of cancer cells and Clarifying the molecule mechanism that PKM2 promotes the drug resistance by affecting the autophagy of cancer cells objective is to Identify if there is association of PKM2 polymorphisms with the risk of developing breast cancer in a case control study and finally Establishing a high throughput screening platform for small molecular inhibitors of PKM2, identifying the molecular inhibitors of PKM2, simultaneously providing a new way to overcome the drug resistance of cancer.
